The first and the best place to start for good health is "preventative care". Understanding your body and learning what works best to keep it operating at its "optimal" level.
Secondly is recognizing that a healthy body maintains a healthy mind. When you provide proper nurishment to the body, it in turn provides the essential elements required by the brain to operate at its optimal level.
And thirdly, find your happy place, your peaceful place, whatever it takes to nurish your inner being and allow yourself to go there. Read, write, draw, paint, listen to calming music or just sit quietly and allow your body and mind to rest, relax and rejuvenate.
Follow a good routine of eating healthy, exercising and sleeping. Did you know our bodies do their best work between the hours of 10:00 pm and 1:00am? This is a healing time and rejuventating time for the body, and while its ok to ocassionally stay up late, don't make it a habit.
Another important piece of information is to realize that while we are all essentially the same design (with of course the obvious differences), chemically inside, we are each as individual as our fingerprints. You see no two people are exposed to the exact same things at the exact same time in the exact same amount. Which means that your body's reaction to something will be entirely different from someone else. So remember that whatever you put into or even onto your body causes some form of chemical reaction - Chemistry 101 speaking.
You see the body's metabolism is based on countless chemical reactions that take place during every second of every minute of every day throughout our entire lives. Many of which are an essential part to our existence and provides the body with the ability to maintain "Homeostasis" (meaning - a state of equilibrium). However there are many that are not and can be harmful to the process. How your body reacts to things depends on what it has been exposed to, either through environmental factors, foods, water, etc., right down to the type of deoderant and shampoo you are using.
Keeping these facts in mind, will help you in discovering the right care for your body based on "its" personal needs and not following the trend of what others may or may not be doing. Healthcare is a personal choice and with all choices, its important to make the good ones by getting or being as informed as you can be. Remember, its your body and you only get one, so be good to it and give it what it needs and stay away from or eliminate what it doesn't.
Truly our bodies are incredible creations when you consider all that they are capable of, and given the proper care and maintenance, they can see us live healthier, happier, and longer lives.
Sadly though the reality of our world is that many people take better care of their cars and homes than they do their own bodies.
There are even those who 'self-sabbotage' their bodies, through smoking, drugs and alcohol and many other things.
From the very instant of your creation, your body undergoes a complex process of chemical reactions. So the importance of making healthy lifestyle choices throughout your life to maintain good health should be a top consideration.
One place to start with a healthy lifestyle is to "READ" the label. If you can't understand the ingredients on the package - then you need to find out what they are. Also the longer the list, typically means the more additives.
Managing your health doesn't have to be hard or even complicated - just be informed about your choices and listen to your body. If you eat, drink or use something and experience symptoms afterwards (these can ocur immediately or within a few days) - then there is most likely something in it that your body has reacted badly to, and that's your body's way of telling you. (Always seek a professional healthcare provider for any health related issues).
And don't forget to exercise, again a little goes a long way - it keeps everything moving while supplying fresh oxygen. Take a walk, ride a bike, or go for a swim - its all good fun stuff.
Water is another big essential for the body - drink plenty of pure water to keep the body flushed, no pun intended.
Stay healthy, take charge of your body - afterall you live in it, and so you have the best knowledge of it. And remember to get all the facts when deciding what is best for you and your body - because the best decision often comes from the most informed one.
Always communicate with your healthcare professional.
Wishing you good health now and always.
