Kreative Memories

“Never believe that a few caring people can't change the world. For, indeed, that's all who ever have” - Margaret Mead

About the  Author - K.  L. Primeaux

I have been a great fan of literature my entire life, and at a very early age, I found myself completely fascinated with words.  I especially loved to listen to the stories people told about their experiences in life.  I was positively captivated by their expressive use of words and couldn’t wait to learn as many words as I possibly could.

My parents impressed upon my brothers and myself the importance of reading and writing and we were highly encouraged to read on a regular basis, in fact they insisted upon it.  Although I must admit that I truly paid little attention to those amazing authors at the time because for me it was all about the story.  The more I could be drawn into a story, the more I was hooked!

As the years went on, I began to create my own stories.  Oh what a thrill I got creating each new character and the adventures that brought them to life.

“Annie and the Butterflies” was written in memory of my grandmother.  She was a wonderfully endearing woman, warm and loving with a smile that could melt the coldest winter day.

I have very fond memories of my visits with her as a young child and the many years that followed.  I especially loved the spring and summer months spent with her and my grandfather at their small country home.  The tiny house was surrounded by the most lovely, sweet scented wildflowers that I have ever known.  But it was those delightfully beautiful butterflies visiting the flowers that simply captured my heart

As a writer, I believe that you should always write about what you know and allow your most inner thoughts to guide your pen.  Although I am certain most have now exchanged pens for keyboards.

I truly count myself very fortunate to have all my family around me, because they are the true heart of my inspiration.  Of course they are also my best critics. Their love, support and sharing seems to inspire my every thought, and as long as they do, I will always have something to write about and a story to tell.

The Native American Indian Butterfly Legend

"If anyone desires a wish to come true they must first capture a butterfly and whisper their wish to it. Since a butterfly can make no sound, the butterfly can not reveal the wish to anyone but the Great Spirit who hears and sees all.

In gratitude for giving the beautiful butterfly its freedom, the Great Spirit always grants the wish. So, according to legend, by making a wish and giving the butterfly its freedom, the wish will be taken to the heavens and be granted."
